Easter Sunday. The dining room staff out did themselves on a noon buffet. At 11 am. we were invited to walk by the display and take pictures. Not knowing what was in store, we were surprised by the crush of people and then completely undone by the workmanship and display. The staff had been up all night preparing and setting up this gorgeous meal. There were carvings depicting many of the sights we have seen on this world cruise - some with a sense of humour - like the chicken band. The materials used ranged from watermelon, ice, butter, turkey, turnips, beets. Maxine and Mal and her cousin Vera joined us for brunch.
The evening was a blast - it was a formal evening with the theme of Arabian Nights. Crazy is how I would describe this evening as everyone went all out to create a suitable costume. Karen dressed as Cleopatra, and I had a lot of bling on me. We did a very funny picture on a flying carpet. All in all we had a great evening.. missing Lynn and Erika who were on an overland. We have 8 port days in a row with no break starting with 2 days ahead in Athens. Europe - we will be excited to see some new places and some we haven't been before, and to see firsthand how the economies are faring.
